Medicare patients: Bring your new card to next appointment

August 2, 2022

Medicare will issue new cards between April 2018 and April 2019. They are replacing the social security number with a unique Medicare Beneficiary Identifier number (MBI). There is no change to your coverage.

Virginia residents should receive their new cards in the first scheduled mailing taking place April 2018 – June 2018. Please bring the new card when you come to your next appointment.

This change does not impact Medicare replacement plans.

Please contact our Business Office at (804) 330-4901 if you have any questions on this card change.
